About the Founder
Madice Behaegel, an animal lover born and raised in Belgium, graduated in interior architecture enriched by a master's degree in General Management at the triple-accredited International Vlerick Business School. After a few professional experiences, Madice, pushed by an ambitious and forward-thinking mindset, felt the desire to merge her passion for design, belief in business for the good, and love for animals. PINO was born!
The brand idea bloomed from disappointment regarding the conventional pet product industry: depending on plastics for product development, other than barely being tailored to what pets really need. Madice’s mission with Pino is to create functional products that put pets’ health and comfort first while respecting our and their planet. “Our four-legged friends improve our lives, so we should improve theirs too!” Madice Behaegel.
Pino creates purposeful bowls that improve the health and comfort of our pets, while respecting the planet. From classic bowls to speciality bowls, available in various sizes, home-trend color nuances and different surface patterns to match with interior styles. Pino loves functional details whereby each bowl has a specific function to help pets.
Our ESG values
Being a young brand, we believe in the importance of ESG values. Instead of mechanical, outsourced mass production abroad, our bowls are handmade, by an employment care center, locally in Belgium. They support people with psychosocial disabilities who are looking for a way back into the labor market.
For the creation of our bowls, we use mainly natural materials, plastic-free packaging, and focus on a durable, long lifetime of our products. All our bowls are handcrafted in small batches to avoid waste.

PINO, the emerging designer pet accessories brand, announces it will debut at the Italian tradeshow Zoomark (May 15-17, 2023) in Bologna, showcasing functional bowls for cats and dogs to the international Pet Industry community.
Launched in 2020, Pino creates “purposeful” designer pet supplies, conceived to improve pets’ health and comfort, while respecting the(ir) planet. Pino's aim is achieved through innovative and sustainable edged material research; trend-subtle yet functional design development and handcrafted manufacturing in Belgium.
According to recent research, the pet bowl market is set to witness steady growth as there has been an increased number of households that started to keep more pets (especially dogs) in-house and even at the workplace. This fact inspires Pino to unbox for the first time at the upcoming Zoomark show, where the brand will stage its contemporary product line including designer slow-feeder bowls that prevent pets from unhealthy gulping, whisker-friendly bowls, bowls for dogs with long ears, etc. An eclectic range of colors and surface effects tackle the issue of "harmonizing with the interior style" while caring for the health and well-being of canines and felines. Pino is pleased to be aligned with Zoomark's five Pet Vision Megatrends, highlighting its firm focus on "Health & Functional".
