Every PINO bowl is made by hand in Belgium, in a social enterprise where people who are distanced from the regular labour market get meaningful work. The sand comes from the Belgian Kempen region.

PINO Sandstone® is mostly natural sand, with a small amount of natural pigments and binding elements.

Yes. Thanks to the high natural sand content, PINO Sandstone® is naturally hypoallergenic and free from harmful substances such as BPA and phthalates.

Yes. All materials are tested for:

Our pigments comply with the European REACH standards.

Every pet eats differently, so every shape solves one thing:

• Slow feeders for fast eaters
• Whisker friendly bowls for cats with sensitive whiskers

Every product page has a size guide. As a rule of thumb:

• Small (14 x 6.2 cm): Chihuahua, Pomeranian, Jack Russell
• Medium (17.5 x 7.7 cm): Labradoodle, Beagle, Bulldog
• Large (21 x 9.2 cm): Labrador, Husky, Boxer

Bowls from the 2025 collection onwards are, with two conditions:

• Top rack only
• Low temperature (30 to 45°C)

Older collections are best washed by hand to keep their colour.

No. Heating can cause:

• Hairline cracks
• Soft spots
• Discolouration

Warm the food in another container first, then serve it in the bowl.

No. Every bowl has anti-slip dots and smooth edges underneath. For extra protection on wooden floors, place it on a PINO tray or a cork mat.

Yes. If your pet does chew on the bowl, it is usually too small. A larger size solves that.

Years, with the right care. Normal signs of use are:

• Fading from direct sunlight
• Limescale from hard water
• Matte spots from acidic food
• Anti-slip dots that come loose
• Dust in small air pockets (easy to brush out)

Yes. Replacement dots are available in most DIY shops or online.

Yes, but keep it in the shade and bring it back inside afterwards. Direct sunlight can fade the natural pigments.

We do not personalise bowls, but you can paint yours with water-based acrylic paint (without solvents). Test on the underside first.

Yes. Returns are free within Belgium, the Netherlands, Germany and Luxembourg. You have 14 days to send your order back unused and in its original packaging. Discounted items and gift cards cannot be returned.

We will fix it. Email hello@pinopets.com with your order number and a photo of the damage.
