About this bowl
Do your dog’s ears hang wet and dirty in the food or water after every meal? And do you have to wipe them clean every time?
The Long Ears Bowl is narrower and deeper than a regular bowl. Your dog reaches the food, and the ears stay clean. That means less washing, and fewer of the damp ears that so often lead to ear infections in dogs with floppy ears.
Our long ears bowl is made from PINO Sandstone®, a strong and heavy material that keeps the bowl in place, won't tip over and is resistant against chewing.

WHY A LONG EARS BOWL
EARS OUT, NOSE IN
Spaniels, bassets, beagles, dachshunds, setters, doodles: if the ears hang past the jaw, they get to dinner first. In a wide, open bowl they dip into the food and soak up the water, and you end up wiping them after every meal.
The Long Ears Bowl narrows towards the top. The snout fits in, the ears fall along the outside.

How limited is the Black Panther Winter Edition?
We make a limited number of each piece, and every one comes with its own numbered certificate. The last pieces are still being made by hand in the social workplace, so new stock comes in regularly. If your size is not ready yet, your order may ship a day later. If there is a longer delay, we will let you know. Once they are gone, they do not come back.
Which dogs is this bowl for?
For every dog whose ears hang past the jaw: cocker and springer spaniels, cavaliers, bassets, beagles, dachshunds, setters, poodles and doodles with long ears. If the ears end up in the food or the water, this bowl is for your dog.
How does the bowl keep the ears out?
The rim curves inward, so the opening is narrower than the body of the bowl. Your dog's snout fits in, while the ears fall along the outside instead of into the food or water.
Which size do I need?
Small suits a Dachshund, Cavalier King Charles or Miniature Poodle. Medium suits a Cocker or Springer Spaniel, Beagle, Basset Hound, Setter or a doodle. In doubt? Send us your dog's breed and we will help you choose.
My dog is still a puppy. Which size should I take?
Pick the size that fits your dog's adult build. The narrow rim works just as well for a puppy, and you will not need a new bowl once it is fully grown.
Can I use it as a water bowl too?
Yes, and that is where it helps the most, because ears get wettest while drinking. Many owners take two: one for food and one for water, on a matching tray.
Is every marble bowl the same?
No. The white veins are swirled through the black by hand, so every marble bowl has its own pattern. The photos show the finish, not your exact bowl.
Can I raise the bowls?
Yes, in Medium. Put the Medium bowls on the Black Panther Tray in Medium and add the Raised Tray Extension underneath, with four heights to choose from. Small bowls and the Small tray do not work with the extension.
Is it dishwasher safe?
Yes, at 30°C on the top rack. You can also put it in the fridge, handy if you feed raw.
